How to change desktop...
I have just installed suse 11.1.. with gnome desktop, I wanted to change it to kde 3 or 4. I have installed kde 3 and 4 packages, I tried to do so using sysconfig in yast control center but nothing changed, I need help. thanx in advance...

Logout from GNOME, when you are on Log In screen.
Click 'Session' > Select KDE4 > OK
then Login, it will ask to make KDE4 default or keep it for session.
Just make default

.......i know that...
actually there's no login screen, but a login dialog, where it asks for user name and password..... and in that dialog there's no option for selecting session type....
may be login screen is a package in suse 11.1....?

Login screen is package of Display manager like gdm.
Its alwasys there in SUSE,
When you get Login dialog, its the login screen.
