    unable to login kde session

    Not able to start kde session with my user id. Can only do it using starkde from safemode
    Problem started after power outage, router left inoperable

    Probably a corrupted config file. As root, go to your user home directory and delete the .kde directory. This will remove ALL of your KDE specific custom settings. Log off (it's a real bad idea to log in as root with a graphical desktop, the less time you're in there the better). Log back in as your user. KDE should rebuild the directory with default settings.
