I am configuring a Vmware on my linux box
Opensuse 11.0 and want to ask if i am supposed
to be on the internet before you can have access to
the OS on the VMware.

The newest versions of Server are browser based. I tried it and had problems with a certificate. I think that the cert comes via the web. I gave up and dropped back to the previous version since I did not have time to deal with it. You should try the VMware boards for help on this. It is really not a Linux problem.

I think i also have to drop to one of the previous versions
because i am not always working on the internet.

You don't have to access it through https, it sets up both http and https connections. You do not need to have an internet connection to use vmware.
