I have given dmesg output regarding detection of my Pixel View Tv Tuner card on my system of Suse Linux 9.2 with kernel 2.6., it certainly has detected and wants to make it running but How can I pass it necessary arguments so that I could be able to watch TV on my system using kdeTV package which complains that I have no Tv Tuner card on my system whereas I have one my system.

Is there any reason for using such an old version of SuSe? Its around 5 years old. I would suggest you to install OpenSUSE 11. Most probably, your card will work out of box in latest version.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

As I mentioned earlier, 9.3 is an obsolete version of SuSe. It doesn't support latest hardware and you wont get Security/Software updates.
I can't help you with this version. I hope someone will chime in and help you soon.

Will upgrading to the latest stable kernel solve the problem.

You will need to patch this or that then another thing, then another thing..... You end up with a Frankenstein monster rather then a unified distribution. I don't understand your reluctance to use a newer version. If there is some program that only runs on 9.2 making all these changes will most likely break it anyway. To get the TV card to work you will most likely need to upgrade a lot more then the kernel. Things like Xwindows system and the desktop software at the least.
