    Question unable to use wireless

    Hi,

I am a new user of Linux. I just installed an opensuse on my Dell vostro 1510 laptop. But i am unable to make use of my in-build wireless acrd to connect to my network. The Wireless Chip set is BCM4315/BCM 22062000. and the model id Dell Wireless 1395WLAN Mini-Card.

I would be glad to recieve a solution on this.

    Thanks

    Albern

Question: is this one of those laptops that require you to push a button to turn on the wireless card?

First, obviously, try setting it up in Yast -> Network Devices -> Network Cards. You may have to install separate firmware for your Broadcom. If all else fails, you may need to use the NDIS wrapper and Windows drivers (especially with the push-on cards, I haven't had much luck with those Linux native).
