    installing apt

    hi i'm running sue linux enterprise desktop 10 and attemting to install apt
    i have downloaded the rpm for it but it then comes up with an error saying

    There are no installable providers of apt-server for apt4rpm-0.69.3-0.noarch[Local packages]

    i have looked for this 'apt-server' but am not sure if it is a file or what
    please help, thanks

    It's telling you that you also need to add apt-server package to satisfy the dependencies.

    Use Yast to install packages

    If you must use apt it is available by the Yast installer

    Yast-Software-Software Administration.

    I don't think apt is in the build software for SLED. He will probably have to install manually.
