    I need to upgrade my sever software from Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10.0 to Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11 how can I do this without re-installing the entire OS?

    11 Enterprise? I though SLED was still at 10, opensuse at 11.2... I'll have to look into it.

    Anyway, the SuSE installer has always been good to me when it comes to upgrading, maintaining data and user base and settings as well as possible. I'd still suggest you keep a backup of /home and /etc directories (for your data and settings, incl. user base) before upgrading just as a precaution.

    SLES 11 is still beta (RC4), so don't upgrade yet. Rather try duplicating the server on a different machine and try upgrading the test machine.
    Usually suse is quite good at upgrades and I am sure upgrading will work when released.
    Just choose the upgrade option from the boot install menu.
