Hello and Welcome.
It could very easily be the CD, they get old and just don't want to work anymore. I would try burning a new CD just to be sure.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

Suse 10 installation error
Hey Mike...
Thanks for da reply man.
I tried that.
I copied the installation cd to another cd and still gave the same error.
And i dont think its becoz its a 32bit installation & ma machine is 64bit.
I am now trying Open Suse 10.3
any more ideas why it could say "could not find installation cd-rom" ??

copying a bad CD to another CD will not correct the error. You must do an ISO copy of the iso file you downloaded. There is no problem installing 32 OS on 64 bit processor.
It could be a hardware problem like having the hard drive and CD on the same cable and both are set as masters. Or an oddball setting in the BIOS
