Hi , have a HP2133 mini note which i bought 2nd hand , what i would like to do is reset linux to default so i can add my own user details etc. How can i do this ?

Log in as root (see how-to pages if you need to reset the password).
run Yast
Security and Users -> User Management
Delete existing users, create one for yourself. Newly created user accounts are made with default settings. You should then be able to customise as you wish.
As far as available software, this is done in Yast -> Software -> Software Management.
Note: once you have set up your personal user account, log out and log back in as your user. You can restart yast from the user account (and root password) after the fact, but remaining logged in as root beyond what is absolutely necessary has the potential to allow dangerous and crippling things to happen to your system.
