    amarok just drops out, no avail decoder, so what decoder do I need and where is it pls? . Xine and realpayer imply wrong codecs. All I want to do is listen to voicemail, is it really that hard?

    Wave files should be no problem at all if they truly are a wave file. What sound system are you using alsa,Pulse?
