how can i upgrade my suse 7.3 to the latest version.

hi to everyone.
im so tired on how i can change the resolution of my suse 7.3 because i change my monitor into a wide flat screen.

but now i decided to upgrade my OS in to the latest version of suse but i dont have any idea on how to start because i have alot of files and important application in 7.3 i worried if i upgrade my OS it will erase my files and application. does anyone know to do it. i want to upgrade but i dont want to loose my files and application.

There is a huge difference in SuSe 7.3 and latest version, 11. I would suggest you to backup data and go for fresh install.

mhmm!! thanks for your reply. my problem is.. i cant leave my old ship engine simulator application in 7.3. i want to change my old OS to the latest version but i cant find any way on how to get my ship engine simulator and put it on the latest operating system. If you remember me, i am the one who was asking for help on how to change the resolution of suse 7.3 but im so sad because i didnt figure out my problem. im using intel atom with built in video card.
