    partition sizing

    Hello,
I'm installing openSUSE onto a 40 gb HD, it's recommendations are:
    shrink windows to 12.81gb
    create extended 25 gb
    create swap 1.1 gb
    create root 9.90 gb
create partition for home 14.47 gb

the problem is, I don't want any of this disk used for windows, but don't know where to put the extra 12 gb.
I'm guessing either home, or root. I don't know the difference between the two.
    thanks in advance,
    stripe

Do you want to completely remove Windows from the computer?

If so, there should be an option to delete all of the partitions on the drive.
