my network driver's model is Broadcom BCM5784M

Open yast>network devices>network settings.
The network card should be listed.. The various tabls allow you to set up the ipaddress, etc.
If the card isn't listed go to the broadcom site and download the drivers.

The installation instructions should usually be in the download file.

SuSE 11 has the option to download and install the Broadcom firmware for you, but SLED 10 doesn't come with the script. You can either search out how to do it (Start Here), or use this handy guide on running ndiswrapper (in conjunction with the drivers from above):

...and if I had searched the model I would have known that. :P
Being a Gigabit card, it's probably just a newer card. Every problem with it I found on Google with SuSE mentioned a version 10.2 or earlier. I think SLED10 just doesn't have the module(s) for it as the distro version probably predates the card. Installing OpenSuSE 11 instead may well fix it.
