Packages with version numbers higher than installation media.

I recently installed the latest version of Virtual Box (2.2.0) via Yast although the default version is 2.0.6. The newer Virtual Box package only became available once I added the Virtual Box repository via Yast's Software Repositories. The package font is now red for the latest version of Virtual Box (2.2.0).

According to Novell - "Installed packages whose version numbers are higher than those on the installation media are displayed in red."

Is this bad or good? I thought using the latest package version was a good thing.

    Thanks.

Don't worry about it. Using latest version is good thing unless its not creating any problems or conflicts with other packages.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
