I see this: iwlagn: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100AGN REV=0x54
You appear to have a wireless-n capable card. Is your router by chance running in 802.11n mode? I believe there are still issues with wireless-n, so change to g if it is.
And then you're getting this disassociation from the network: wlan0: disassociating by local choice (reason=3)
I might try stopping the networkmanager daemon, and unloading and reloading the driver, then try to connect at the command line.
EDIT: FYI you can restart the network manager with /etc/init.d/NetworkManager startCode:sudo /etc/init.d/NetworkManager stop sudo modprobe -r iwlagn sudo modprobe iwlagn sudo iwlist wlan0 scanning sudo iwconfig wlan0 essid <name of your network> sudo dhclient wlan0

I think that you need a bleeding edge kernel to use 802.11n wireless. You most likely won't get that in Suse.
It is looking for two versions of firmware, check the /lib/firmware folder for both of them.
I suspect that the first one is for the wired LAN, and the other for the wireless.Code:firmware: requesting intel-ucode/06-17-06 firmware: requesting iwlwifi-5000-1.ucode

may be the DHCP is not working ???
Well hardluck for me, the suggested solution did not work.
I get the following output when I do sudo dhcpclient wlan0
wmaster0: unknown hardware address type 801
How would I know if my router is running 802.11n mode??
BTW, the wired land is working even though I don't see anything of intel-ucode/06-17-06 in /lib/firmware

You should go into YaST and make these settings.
Open: YaST-->Network Devices-->Network Settings
Under Global Options:
Select this option:
User Controlled with Network Manager
Under Overview:
Click on the wireless in the list, then the "Edit" button.
Then under the General tab select this:
Device Control
Enable Device Control for Non-root User Via KInternet
Under the Address tab, select this:
Dynamic Address: DHCP
Under the Hardware tab:
Module Name: iwlagn
Save the new configuration and exit. You should probably reboot now.Paul
