    Two questions.

    I've got two question both regarding suggestion for peices of software.

    What would you recommend as Linux bases text editor for CSS/HTML/PHP?

    And a good FTP client?

    Currently on windows I've been using Dreamweaver/ Notepad ++

    Welcome to the forums!

    A good text editor such as Gedit or Kwrite can create the best code when used properly, but some users like HTML editors such as Bluefish, or Quanta Plus.

    I usually use gFTP when I need an FTP client. It's easy to use and does all I ever need.
