    Try
    gammu (CLI) or wammu (GUI)
    works with most of the phones.
    Never make any misteaks.

    It should work in normal user mode.
    confirm that, /dev/ttyACM0 exists. or your device is listed as ttyACM0
    try using auto connection wizard in wammu.

    If that doesnt work, Try using sudo wammu so you can have complete previledges.
    though its not recommended.

    Thanx for all the help, i finally got it to work, but i had to add "uucp" permissions to my group, i tried the sudo wammu but i get an error. sudo wammu
    root's password:
    /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/Wammu/Error.py:27: DeprecationWarning: the md5 module is deprecated; use hashlib instead
    import md5
    Unable to access the X Display, is $DISPLAY set properly?

    Otherwise thanx once again.
    Cheers

    X_X, Run command vio gnome-terminal or x-term in your GUI.
    dont run in from another virtual terminal where X is not running.
