    X using to much cpu

    Hello

I just installed suse 11.1 to my asus 1000H. The system was slow compared to 11 I had before. Top command showed that X was using lots of cpu even though I had just konsole open. It's really irritating, if anyone has dealt with it please help.

    Thank you

Try renaming the .kde and or .kde4 (notice the leading period) then restarting the gui. Yes this will lose all your current setting at least temporarily. See if that corrects the problem.

    Thank you for replying
It seems that it is a known problem with SUSE. From what I 've seen X is way too heavy than 11. Maybe I will just drop it
