    [SOLVED] Has anyone seen this error regarding /lib64/libpthread.so

    I am trying to install oracle client on a SLES 10.1 server. When I try to run the install I get the below failure in the install log. I have never seen this failure before. Any thoughts?

    INFO: /lib64/libpthread.so.0: file not recognized: File format not recognized
    collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
    genclntsh: Failed to link libclntsh.so.10.1
    make: *** [client_sharedlib] Error 1

    INFO: End output from spawned process.


    I have reinstalled glib a few times to see if that would correct the issue. However, it has not to date corrected the problem.

    Just be sure you are running a 64bit version of Suse and the Oracle is also 64bit???

    Correct.

    What I just did was reinstall everything. That corrected the issue.
