    Cant access drive after update

hi all, I have just installed OpenSUSE 11.1 and it runs great. However, I cannot access my 2nd hard drive. I usually have two 160gb drives in my system. one for OS and programs the other for data. I wiped the OS drive before the install and detached the data drive until after the install. Suse can see the drive but wont allow me access to it.
I think this is a user rights problem! i suspect its because i have used a new user name and password. Any help is much appreciated. THX

If you installed without the second drive installed, the installer would not know about it and it would not be put into the /etc/fstsb file to auto mount. Is there a partition on the second drive?? Post the results of

    fdisk -l (l is lower case L)

What is the mount point you wish the partition to be mounted to?

Have you tried to mount it with the mount command??

What was the original OS the partition was created with?

I think its mounted it says sdb! It was created with OpenSUSE 10 and it was of the type xfs I believe. but the OS drive (sda) was done by suse 11 in another format toxfs. Does this matter? I will get the fdisk info this evening. thx for such quick reply. Apprec.
