Printer does not print
I had difficulty setting up printers in YaST in version 11.1. I had the sma e problem with the printer just printing blank pages. I believe your problems are twofold setting up your printer in YaST and the wrong printer driver.
I suggest setting up your printer in the CUPS interface localhost:631 and trying different printer drivers; generally the printer driver that is the closest to the model of your printer will work.
Cheers!

Doesn't hurt to check the notes on the OpenPrinting Database. They can guide you to the best driver to use for the printer.

Sometimes it is necessary to try a similar model driver. After having a look at a couple of threads via goggle, I found one suggestion that the CX7800 driver may be worth a go. As eTech97 mentioned, try configuring via CUPS web interface, with the printer connected.

I had a similar experience with my CX500, which required the CX3800 gutenprint driver from memory.
