I've moved this to the SUSE forum as it's quite distro specific. Have you got the link there to the 1-click installer?

Repositories are set in Yast. If you have not done so you should go set them up.

I used the 4.3 live CD ("KDE Four Live" CD) to install KDE 4.3 on my laptop. No headaches there.

On my desktop I attemped to updgrade from KDE 4.1.3 via the factory repos in Yast and encountered a lot of denpendency headaches. I eventually resolved them and got KDE 4.3 installed but I was not happy for two reasons.

    1. I could not get dual monitors working like I had with KDE 4.1.3. (I am using the same hardware and same ATI drivers)

    2. KDE 4.3 installed via an upgrade from 4.1.3 seemed very sluggish.

KDE 4.3 runs smooth on my laptap from installation via the Live CD mentioned above.

    1. Start YaST
    2. Choose "Software" (Left window pane) and then "Software Repositories" ( Right window pane).
    3. Click "Add" button on lower left.
    4. Choose "Specify URL" radio button.
    5. Click "Next"
    6. Add repository "URL" in field provided.
    7. Click "Next"
    8. Click "Ok:.

Here are instructions from OpenSues on upgrading to KDE 4.3 and which repositories you need to add in YaST.

    Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11
    Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 - SP3
