Is it possible to mount Windows XP in OpenSUSE 11.0?
I thought I knew so much more about computers than I do. I installed OpenSUSE 11.0 on a new hard drive and thought I would be able to just whiz right through the learning curve. Yeah, right.
Now that I am aware of how little I know and have been completely humbled by this experience, I need serious help from those of you I wish I was. LOL.
I have had almost 0 luck mounting anything in my linux distribution, including my printer that appears on the list I found on a linux web site of mountable printers, and I'm concerned that I possibly might have an error on my installation. I do not know anything about commands and programming, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to give you some frustration, but I would be eternally grateful to you if you can hold my hand and help me.
Thank you so much.

Most of what you want to do can be done with the Yast program (Administrator Settings ). You will find it in the menu.

Is it possible to mount Windows XP in OpenSUSE 11.0?
For now, I'm going to concentrate on trying to mount my printer and get the internet to work. For some reason, it is telling me that things are offline.
In the past, I've tried to add photos and music, create a template in the office program and such, but I must be missing something here. So frustrating.
I figured if I could access Windows XP, I could do the stuff I normally do and slowly be able to learn how to do what I need to do in OpenSUSE.

If you want to run XP inside Linux try VMWare Server. If you just want to access data that is on a XP partition simply mount that partition. That can be done in Yast.
How are you connected to the Internet?

AFA printers are concerned, if you need to use a driver that Yast doesn't know or detect automatically (it can happen, I had to do this), you can define the driver manually using the CUPS web interface.
