    Post mobile hanset/ipod not mounting

    hello friends
    my mobile handset is not getting mounted for data/Music,videos.. transfer through USB cable in my SLED 11.1 computer . What driver should i check in the yast Software Management. if not what software driver's should i install from repo's. please help. Also my ipod is not getting mounted. through USB cable.

    When you have either of these plugged in, have you had a look to see if they don't appear in /media?

    my pendrive & external hard disk is mounting. iam able to see on the desktop itself ! but not the mobile Samsung handset? what could be the problem? the Device or the Drivers.

    Do you get any system messages when you plug them in? (Try plugging in, waiting a bit and then typing: dmsg | tail).
    Have you looked at the manufacturer's site to see if it needs special software to read it? Generally though, you should be able to see the storage.
    On the phone, you need to go to the phone menu on the phone and set it up for data transfer/usb mode. Don't know with the ipod, but may be the same.
