    HI

    I need little help from you guys..I need libncurses 5.7-2.20090207 to compile my src code. I am using suse10.2. Presently i have 5.5 version.

    Can anyone help me to get this version..I need it urgently..

    I got the source and compikled it. when i copied the libncurses.so file in /usr/lib/ system gt hanged nad now its not booting.. how do i restore the old file... i dont have backup of the original file. I tried using dvd but it am not sure how to resue.. can anyone please help..it really very urgent... can anyone provide me the full step to do that?

    Select rescue that should reinstall everything.

    Or you can simply do a full install. Assuming you have a standard Suse partitioning setup. At the point the install asks to confirm the partitioning manually tell it NOT to format the home partition just mount it as /home.

    Note since you are using 10.2 it is no longer supported and you will not be able to update from the repositories. 10.3 is the oldest that is being supported and that support will not last long since 11.3 is due out soon.

    Lesson learned: Never ever replace a library make a backup first (rename it) be for adding a new.
