[SOLVED] logging into kdm problems pam_pwcheck.so

I'm having problems logging into KDM. in /var/log/messages I'm getting:

Sep 24 08:57:10 zeus kdm: :0[6507]: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_pwcheck.so): /lib/security/pam_pwcheck.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Sep 24 08:57:10 zeus kdm: :0[6507]: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_pwcheck.so

I've looked around on google and can't find an answer. Any ideas?

Glad you got it fixed but the question is what caused the problem. You should check your file system ( can be done from the CD/DVD in rescue mode). Also could be a bad sector on har drive.
