xserver fatal error????

so basically i just installed a clean copy of 11.1 and the resoloution was well messed up so i decided to install the graphics drivers, now as im am fairly new to suse i downloaded the drivers from the suse website here and as instructed i installed the drivers then set up the config in sax2 after running the sax2 -r command to reload sax2, i then inputed my requested resolution and saved my settings and upon restarting the xserver i get a "fatal error, no screens found, giving up". there is more to the error message i can write it out if needed

the system i am running is an intel i7 920 with a nvidia gtx275 if that helps

Thats the page he used. Without more info I know I can't help.

Try setting the driver back to a generic one either "nv" or "vesa" (note: neither of these support accelerated 3D). You can do this by editing the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file as root. Set the driver line to one of the above. Restart X by typing init 5.

If you still get an error it is possible that the terminals are messed up. Easiest way to deal with that is to reinstall using the repair option. Note by default X is mapped and runs in terminal 6

Try starting the system in runlevel 3 by typing a 3 at the boot-up menu and then configure sax2.
