LDAP Configuration error

Dear all,

I am new to linux and LDAP.I am setting proxy sever for my workplace.I need to authenticate squid by using the user name in ADS. I need to retrieve the users in Ser 2003 ADS and use it in linux suse 10.3.
what configuration i need to do in windows side. sanba is been configured in linux part and i am able to access the shared files.
I am using suse 10.3 Server edition linux.KIndly guide me to use LDAP here, i mean to authenticate the users in Server 2003. Kindly guid me pls.
i am getting error connection to LDAP server cannot be established. "LDAP ERR"

DO I need to configure LDAP server in my domain server ??.. My domain server WINDOWS server 2003. How to check that my ldap server is running???

Did you read the page I indicated?


/etc/init.d/ldap status


is the command. You need to be root.
