How are you connecting? Is it a wireless connection
try setting ipv6 off in Firefox
In firefox: In firefox address bar - about:config Look for .. network.dns.disableIPv6 and set it to "true".
can't help more without more info about you system and setup

It's just like in Windows:
First you'll have to "install" network card drivers, then configure the settings in "Networking properties". That's all, your network should work.

First check the drivers. (Hint: lsmod vs. your network card name + Suse driver for your card)

To know what your Ethernet Controller chip set is at a command prompt ( a Console/Konsole window) type
/sbin/lspci
This will list the PCI devices on your mother/main board
One of those lines will have "Ethernet Controller" in it tells the device.
Is this a notebook netbook or desktop computer?
Are you connecting to the internet by Cable,DSL,or via a router/switch?
Are you connecting to the Internet device by USB or Ethernet cable?
We are good but we do not read minds.
