    Smile opensuse 11.2 installation

    hi ...i am a new user of linux . My machine configuration is follows..

    1. Pentium 4 with 1.8 gh
    2. 512 ram
    3. 15 gb hard disk

    please help me about installation specially regarding partition option (eg.. how much alloted should be for swap/ root/home etc)

    Hello and Welcome.
    I would suggest that you use a minimum of 200 MB swap partition, unless you plan to use hibernate and sleep functions in which case you might need more.
    I would format this way.
    / partition 10 GB
    /home 4.5GB
    /swap 500MB
