Low Volume
Hi Everyone,
Running Suse 10.0 on a lenovo idea pad and i am having a problem getting the volume set high enough to hear any music, dialogue!. I have set the volume control up as far as it will go but can hardly hear anything. Had this problem running Ubuntu on a Sony laptop but managed to resolve the problem but cannot remember what i done. Can anyone help please. Thanks.

Hi and Welcome !
Have you tried alsamixer command in Terminal. I am not a SuSe user. alsamixer command worked in a few old distros.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Volume Level
Thanks for that suggestion Devils Casper it's done the trick
. Volume goes lot higher now although not ear splitting can now hear sound without straining one's ears.
