SLES 10 & FreeNX user administration

I have a project in the works to use FreeNX on SLES 10. Where I'm getting confused is on the user administration. Our users will be using thin client devices from DETOS. They will boot to the local device then run an NX client to connect to the server running SLES10. I know that we have to add users to the FreeNX software. In this setup don't they also have to have actual server accounts? If that's the case and all the users are basically remoting to the servers desktop then how do we manage the end users desktop? We have different groups of users. Some need Open Office, other's don't, that sort of thing. How do you create desktop environments on the server for each user, or an environment template that could be applied for the users?

I have a long way to go to make this transition from windows to linux but so far we're liking what we see.

Thanks in advance for helping me understand the process here.

    Welcome

You can pre setup each user by logging in directly. Or the user can set up his/her own desktop. Since you use SLES version which is the Novel commercial version. you may want to check on the Novel forms. Note 10 is getting old the current SLES version is 11
