SLES 11 - System Updates change Kernel settings

    Hello,

i've got the problem, that every "you" update destroys my settings in /boot/grub/menu.lst.
I don't wish to have a "vga=" and want to have a "crashkernel=" setting. It' no problem to edit the file according to my targets, but when i run updates with yast and a kernel update is processing, then all my settings are destroyed for the new kernel and SLES sets his own "default" settings for the kernel (OS) to boot. Is there a possibility to control these defaults settings, so that they will always be set for new kernels when updated?

Try changing the settings in Yast rather then editing the menu.lst directly.
