    Unhappy HP Deskjet F4280 problem-gcc

    Hello,

I have been trying to hook up my HP Deskjet F4280 for ages but I always encounter a different problem.

I tried installing HPLIP but it keeps saying I don't have GCC even though I do.
This is what it says when I install it:

    INSTALL MISSING REQUIRED DEPENDENCIES
    -------------------------------------
warning: There are 5 missing REQUIRED dependencies.
note: Installation of dependencies requires an active internet connection.
warning: Missing REQUIRED dependency: gcc (gcc - GNU Project C and C++ Compiler)warning: This installer cannot install 'gcc' for your distro/OS and/or version.
error: Installation cannot continue without this dependency. Please manually install this dependency and re-run this installer.

And even so I tried to install the RPM package gcc-4.5-8.14.i586 and it said the package was already installed.

gcc version 4.1.2 20070115 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)

Help? i really need to use the printer...I have a SuSE Enterprise 10.0 on a MSI wind netbook.

    Thank you in advance!

Why not do it through YaST so you know it's the version for your distro and it's put in the right place? Also, there should be a HPLIP package available. Search through YaST.
