runinig suse as a file server, open konqueror to delete a file and the desktop chrashed. no response to keyboard and need to logout of root and re logon but can't. need to advoid a reboot of machine. can access webmin remotely but thats it.

what verrsion of KDE? 4.5 had a dbus problem that was fixed w/ a kernel update.

I'm not sure, its using suse 8.2, so probably an old version

had to go into webmin and reboot the whole machine. all working fine now
