The best way I've found to learn about any distribution is to simply start using it, and exploring everything it has to offer. I'm not familiar with any online tutorials, but I believe there are a few Suse/OpenSuse books available. If you are interested in hard copy books, I'd recommend searching Amazon to see what all comes up.

Good suggestion and I intend to do so but I would like to learn to use the terminal rather than the GUI. I dont even know where to start on learning commands

For command line, I'd suggest trying some the quick and easy lessons over at LinuxCommand.org:
