    new open windows

    hello,

I'm working on a Linux OS and I have several desks, which i work on.
in every desk I usually run several programs in parallel.
from time to time, naturally, I switch between the desks. each time, if one of the programs that are running in parallel, on a different desk needs to pop-up a new window, it's appears on the present desk.
is it possible to set that a new pop-up window will always appear on his desk and not on the current present desk?

    thanks to who ever answer...

That depends entirely on what window manager or desktop environment you are using. Remember that in Linux the desktop is completely independent of the underlying system so you need to tell us which one you have installed. In fact most window managers do have a configuration option to choose how windows on other workspaces are opened.

i dont know if it is the same, but i have KDE as the desktop environment and i dont know which window manager i have.
i tried to look around in the control options and so, but i could not find any way to control how and where new windows should appear.

I've never used KDE but I believe you get the window manager configuration by right-clicking the title bar of any window. You could try this ref for more info. Or this.
