Hi and welcome to the forum. How are you trying to connect to the internet? Using a wired connection or wireless?

Somewhere on the desktop or in the menu should be a tool called YaST. Thats what is used to configure system settings on SUSE and openSUSE. Look in the networking or network setup section for an option to configure your wireless card.

If this is a new machine you should be able to get help from HP. And really the Wireless should work out of the box.

On your desktop panel, there should be a Network Manager icon (should be somewhere on the right) that you use to connect/disconnect network connections.
