    hi all..
    i hav a problem..
    i try to install linux in my probook 4421s but i can't type password in terminal consul..
    i can type my username login but i can't type my password..
    anyone can help me ?

    Hello and welcome to the forums!

    In the Linux console, password characters are not echoed to the screen. You'll need to enter the password just as if it were showing on screen, then press ENTER.

    thx oz..

    i was try it. but notting happen just show the word incorrect password..
    i was try to reinstall opensuse 11.3 with username = test and password = 12345 . but no change, i still cannot login to my suse..
    what should i do ?

    Not sure what might be going on then. Maybe your caps lock is ON, you are using the wrong keyboard layout, or you are simply entering the wrong password. If by chance you are trying to login as root user, keep in mind that root logins are disabled on many distributions.
