    Getting error when starting the server

    I'm really really new to linux ...........i'm getting a error like this (dropped='pipe(/dev/xconsole)=0',)when server bootsup and Gnome terminal also not working. Does it have any connection with this error please help me...

    That's not much info Which version do you use? Did you check /var/log/messages for error messages?

    Thanks For the reply framp . My OS version is suse linux enterprise server 11.0 running on a virtual machine . I did a checkup on var/log messages i found a message like below

    "wso2prd syslog-ng[2240]: Log statistics; dropped='pipe(/dev/xconsole)=0'"


    i felt that there is a error in X server but i cannot figure it out....
