Did you change Partition Structure (Create/delete partition) of your Hard disk recently?
Have you tried to re-install GRUB?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

You can use SuperGRUB CD or USB to re-install GRUB. Download .iso from here and burn it to CD or create USB. Boot up from it and re-install GRUB.

.iso images are bootable by default. You have to burn .iso image to CD only. Most of CD Burner packages have an option to burn image. In Nero ( Windows OS based package ), select 'Burn Image to Disk' or download Imageburn package.
In Linux, Brasero and K3B packages burn .iso image without any problem.

    Check these packages too.

Check this wiki page of SuperGRUB CD. After selecting Fix boot of GNU/Linux (GRUB), select / partition of SUSE. SuperGRUB will re-install Boot Loader.

Something is wrong with / partition. Boot up from LiveCD or USB of any Linux distro and check if partition structure is intact. Check the contents of / partition too.
Post the output of fdisk -l command here.
