    Talking really dont know what to do

    hi techs this joshua . i am completely new to linux and no idea about . i am well and good with windows & network - trouble shooting with windows
    i have installed open suse 11.4 in my computer
    1 .the issue which i have wright now is unable to download any videos .
    i have kget and when i try to download any videos all i can do is paste the url of the site to kget and it downloads web page .
    2. when i try to access other drives it shows access permission denied and it prompts for root password . i will enter the root password and then it allows me to access but unable to copy the files or open the video files from my user account
    but if i try to login to as the root still unable to access videos and unable to download videos

    i like to learn linux and also networking in linux

    I've not run SuSE on a box at home, but look into two things:

    There should be a package manager or software center in your menu options... look for the same relevant plugins that you would on Windows (Flash Player and such).

    Depending on the drives you are trying to access, look into mounting them: mount - Linux man page

    Is it a Windows drive by any chance? You might need to install NTFS support. The package you'll need is, I think, ntfs-3g

    the issue with my computer i had before is my windows os got infected by VIRUS "khatara.exe" so i have deleted the windows os and installed linux suse11.4 and then my hard disk is not partioned its whole 250gb & 80 gb is mounted
    my brothers account he is able to access every thing except online download ...

    even though i can access the mounted device with root password still unable to move the files or open the files

    as u have mentioned earlier the windows os xp i have deleted it but ill give a try with ntfs-3g

    Give that a shot... post back any errors you get.
