Organize and search audio files in Linux (Opensuse 11.4 + KDE4)
Greetings everyone! This is my first post:
Using: Opensuse 11.4/ KDE 4
As much as I love the Dolphin file manager on KDE, since I can get anywhere on the computer with just a few clicks or through its nice search engine, I feel it is missing in the Detail View the ability to show and arrange files based on its meta info/tags.
For example, it is vital for me to be able to see and arrange music files listed by Artists, Album, Genre, Date etc. and to be able to press the according column's button to re-arrange. (I have thousands of these files)
I am not very experienced in Linux yet, but I conclude that Dolphin nor Konqueror have this ability nor extra plug-ins for this function. (Or am I wrong?)
Do I need another application in order to be able to arrange and view these files better?
Thank you very much!

I've never used it, but I think Amarok is worth a look. It is KDE-integrated, as a bonus.
