Youtube fullscreen - comp lags like crazy

I just realized that I can't watch vids on fullscreen in my comp, only tried youtube so far. The sound runs smoothly but the picture lags severely.

So far I only tried to unable desktop effects, no difference...

    Software
    Firefox 5.0
    Flash 10.3 (32bit)

    Graphic card
    ATI radeon 57XX something...

I've seen post here and there but I haven't really got an idea of what's gnarly. Any pointers or help appreciated.

You might need to install the proprietary drivers for your video card if you haven't done so already. Doing so should give you the best results for graphics intensive tasks. I don't run openSuse, so don't know if they have any easy methods of installing them, or not. If they don't, you can probably download the drivers directly from either the video card maker's website, or the ATI website, and then install them.

Well... at least I think I have the proper graphic driver installed. If I bash it out I get this:

    Code:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Broadway PRO [Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series] (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
            Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 1522
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 58
            Memory at c0000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]
            Memory at d4100000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K]
            I/O ports at 4000 [size=256]
Expansion ROM at d4140000 [disabled] [size=128K]
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 3
Capabilities: [58] Express Legacy Endpoint, MSI 00
            Capabilities: [a0] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
            Capabilities: [100] Vendor Specific Information: ID=0001 Rev=1 Len=010 <?>
            Kernel driver in use: fglrx_pci
I got the driver from the ATI site. Honestly, the out put is a little bit like Arabic language to me. However, the card is supposed to be quite powerful. Something like 4 G memory with 1 G designated etc...
