    OpenSuse Intel 83579LM HP Elitebook 8560p

    Dear all,

    I installed a dual boot system on a HP Elitebook 8560p, with windows 7 64 bit and open suse 64 bit, however none of the drivers are recognised in open suse

    I tried to install the Intel 83579LM driver, however when I untar the files of the intel website, I do not have any make install option?

    Can anybody assist how I can get a networkconnection in opensuse on the HP Elitebook 8560p?

    Any help really appreciated!

    I have a HP elitebook 8740w on opensuse 11.4
    and ALL opensuse supplied drivers on the download DVD from opensuse.org where perfect for all networking, including wlan (except built-ingobi) and including external (nokia) 3G broadband.

    there was no need to get anything from intel site at all.

    did you try first to get all working with the drivers included on the full download DVD from opensuse??
