I used systemRescueCD livecd to restore both primary and extended partitions. I then restored the image file. The system is a RAID1. Now I cannot boot the system. I get the following errors:

Filesystem "md1" Disabling barriers, not supported by the underlying device.
XFS: log mount/recovery failed: error 22

Kernel panic -- not syncing: attempted to kill init.

I even try to do a clean installation but it freezes after the partitions and RAID formats are done.

Does this have anything to do with the BIOS?

The system was working prior as far as the OS is concern but was suspected that it had attached software causing the program to give wrong information?
