    suse hangs at "Starting Devices"

    Hello everyone

I have a suse machine which all of a sudden it started hanging.
    It boots up and then

    "Initialising System"
    "Starting hardware"
"Starting devices" and it stays there for ever.

Does anyone have any ideas, please? Sounds like a hardware issue.

    Many thanks
    One Love!!!

It does sound like a hardware issue. Do you have any USB devices connected?

I'd try to find out which device is causing the problem by trial and error. Unplug all devices and boot up. If it boots up successfully, shut down, reconnect one device at a time and retry. If you have _lots_ of devices, you could reconnect them two at a time and start your system - the idea is to work out by a process of elimination which device is the cause.

    Hi Roxoff,

I followed your suggestion and also fiddled with all the cables, rebooted with no luck, then
rebooted again but this time chose the failsafe session and it worked.

I expect this machine to surrender at some point.

    Have a nice weekend.
    One Love!!!
