I upgraded my 64 bit desktop OpenSuse 12.2 from 12.1. Things went OK except my akondi server wouldn't start. I tried to update libraries, add remove RPMs, etc. The result is every time I launch Chrome or Chromium I get booted out to the login screen. I tried running under root, same thing. I tried running across an ssh X tunnel, same thing. I took off both browsers, installed the 32 bit download from google, same thing. I moved to the latest available beta from the google-chrome repository and I can run google-chrome across an SSH tunnel but nothing locally. My .xsession-errors had entries that could help but I don't see where they relate.

Any ideas?
