    android tethering via bridge (?)

not sure how to configure this and can't find any info on it.

i've installed openSUSE 13.1 with XEN, so it set up a bridge for me (br0) automatically. which is awesome -- love that.

but i'm in a weird situation where the only internet i have is from my cell phone, so i'm trying to figure out how to make that work through said bridge.

i'd really appreciate any help, and if i figure it out on my own, i'll post back.

    not seeing usb device

i've had this working before in Gentoo without the bridge.

i'm not afraid to compile a kernel, but i thought that the stock one in openSUSE supported this "out of the box" from reading around. i'm not seeing the usb device in ifconfig, tho, when i turn it on.

note that i've been testing this in the stock 13.1 openSUSE kernel and not the XEN one.

not sure what to do...any help is appreciated

maybe a simple brctl command is all that's needed, but i'm worried that the usb device doesn't show up in ifconfig.
