Question How to connect a VMware from the host using Putty or Xshell?

I finished an OpenSuSE installation using VMware Workstation 10 and I'm trying to connect it from the host using Putty or Xshell. When I try connect the machine, the connection fails. I tried to check the firewall and network settings on Linux but the error persists. I'm using OpenSuSE 13.1. OpenSuSE machine doesn't access internet as well but there's communication between guest and host when I use ping. I set Bridged in VMware network settings. Anyone has any idea what it might be?

It's solved. I just set VMware Network settings as NAT and the machine is able to be accessed from from the host.
